Activator’s Lifetime Reference Award |
|
Description |
This award is based on how many UKBOTA References an Activator has activated in a lifetime. |
Duration |
This award began 1st October 2023. |
Scoring and additional notes |
An Activator may activate the same bunker Reference once in a lifetime for this award.
One point is scored for each valid activation.
Valid activations: A minimum of 25 stations must be worked for the activation to be deemed valid. If 25 stations are not worked during an activation then repeat activations from the same UKBOTA Reference, within may take place in order to gain the minimum 25 stations for point. An additional QSO is awarded for working the same hunter on any additional bands in order to get to the 25 minimum. There are no additional awards for working more than 25 Hunter stations from the same BOTA Reference. However, activators are encouraged to continue to work Hunters if they are still being called, even if they have reached 25 QSO to validate the activation.
Update at 3 May 2024 Where an activator does not manage 25 valid QSO from a bunker in one outing, duplicate QSO from the same hunter, on the same band, but on a different day will now count towards the 25 valid QSO for the activator. There are no additional points for the Hunter.
